Midlife Women Circle:

A Somatic Exploration of Our Changing Bodies

What to Expect

This 2-hour experience is an invitation to step out of the daily rush and into the warmth of a dedicated women’s circle. Together, we will honor the unique joys and real challenges of perimenopause, menopause, and maturing into the queens we are becoming.

❋ Somatic Movement

Gentle tracking of body sensations, light movement (with option to dance). Giving you time and space to feel your body and connect with it.

❋ Community

Connection is a core part of the process. You’ll learn just as much from the group as from the content itself. We will build a safe, confidential space for sharing together and in pairs.

❋ Expert Facilitation

Led by Emily West & Dr Angela Hunt offering education and insight into midlife physiology and emotional landscape.

❋ Deep Reflection

Private journaling prompts to uncover your inner guidance. Leaving with insight that you can take forward into your life.

Through gentle somatic (body-based) movement, shared stories, and personal reflection, we will enrich our perspective of midlife from not just being about loss and challenge (because grief and intense changes are part of the deal) but also being about immense power, agency and becoming. You do not have to carry your changing body's story alone. Come gather, listen, exhale, and remember the strength of being together.

Meet Our Facilitators

Emily West Cummins-Woods

RSW, Certified Sexologist, and Sexuality, Intimacy and Relationship Coach.

She has 30+ years professional and personal experience deeply living the material, and a passion for coaching women and gender diverse clients to live their most satisfying and pleasurable lives. Emily is also a writer, dancer, mother and entrepreneur -  bringing her authentic, open, loving self to everything she does. She identifies as a Pleasure Warrior, because pleasure is our birthright, and can be revolutionary. The power systems currently in place benefit from menopausal women and gender diverse folx (and many other groups) feeling broken, sick, ugly, unworthy, unorgasmic, unsatisfied and lacking in agency and power. Menopause doesn’t mean we’re any of those, nor does it make us ready to be dismissed as sex-less, dried up has-beens. Her goal is to flip the narrative, guide us back to our right to powerfully and intentionally choose how we experience our bodies’ becomings.

Dr Angela Hunt ND, MSCP

Naturopathic Doctor and Menopause Society Certified Practitioner

With 14 years of experience as a Naturopathic Doctor and working in women's health, Angela brings her knowledge and expertise to the group. She specializes in perimenopause and menopause and is Kingston’s only Menopause Society Certified Practitioner. As a community leader in menopausal care, she has years of experience supporting women regarding sexual health and libido. Angela runs menopause support groups, creates online educational videos about midlife health and frequently public speaks on the topic. She believes that sexual health is an essential part of ones well being but it often gets disregarded in women’s healthcare. Creating safe spaces for women to share their concerns and build real, tangible solutions is her goal. When not practicing medicine you will find her in her garden, hanging out with her family or reading a book (particular ones with spicy sex scenes).

Midlife is a profoundly transformative time. Our bodies are changing, our wisdom is deepening, and our spirit is calling for pause. Yet, society often asks us to navigate this monumental shift in isolation. .
